Here I am with a long time friend of mine and my family’s , Hollie Miller, whom I had not seen in years. He was the pastor of Sevier Heights Bapt. in Knoxville before retiring, and he spoke last Saturday after I sang at First Baptist Dandridge at a Gala. We all had such a great time! I sang and spoke again at a church last Sunday in Knoxville.
This week I will be selling and signing copies of my latest CD of new renditions of bluegrass standards around the artistic and tourist Glades community of the Smoky Mountains. That music not only came from my heart but is the heart of this whole region. I am thankful to also have it in stores in and around the resort town of Gatlinburg.
I will also be sharing my tips for women from my book for women on happiness at a Christian based rehab facility in Knoxville, as the women there are in the process of healing from abuse.
It will be a non-stop week here in the Smokies, where my memories of these mountains and the people here are the roots of who I am.
