I was so thankful to everyone who came out on a stormy Friday night to my book signing in Atlanta last night at the Barnes and Noble in Buckhead. We had a full room, and everyone said they had fun listening to me read from my book.
When I lived in Atlanta from 2009-2011 I used to come into this very Barnes and Noble in Buckhead to read, never dreaming in a million years that I would write a book and have a book signing there.
I met one woman working at Barnes and Noble who bought a book only to come back over to my table in the front of the store later to let me know she was homeless working two jobs. She said I had inspired her. I told her she was the one who had inspired me.
Books bring people together. We are all so much alike in so many ways. What a privilege to hear that some of my life’s struggles are leading others to triumph! I thank all of the people who purchased a book last night, both men and women, and all of my friends and the management at Barnes and Noble who worked to make the night a success.
