Dwayna Litz is bringing “The Great American Songbook” to the concert halls with fresh, new arrangements of the most beautiful music ever created! Her singing and unique charismatic stage presence will warm your heart and transport you to another place and time. Her performance style has been likened to that of Judy Garland and Rosemary Clooney, yet her delivery is contemporary and distinctively “Dwayna”.
This cosmopolitan daughter of Dixie is right at home in NYC singing the romantic standards from her new CD “Counting Your Blessings” all over Manhattan and in concerts worldwide. The album is comprised of standards penned by writers such as Irving Berlin, George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Steven Sondheim and Marilyn Bergman. Dwayna’s recordings and concerts will make you want to count your blessings, no matter the situation, by replacing worries and sadness with a smile. She brings an exciting atmosphere of love and happiness to fill up any concert hall and leave people wanting more.
Dwayna recorded “Counting Your Blessings” with a full orchestra at a studio owned by legendary Tony Bennett. You really cannot get much more authentic than that. In fact, the fully orchestrated album was the last to be made at the great Bennett Studios. With the studio closing a week later, it is, perhaps, appropriate that “Blessings” should be such a love letter to that golden age of Jazz.
