Dwayna speaks and sings at Heartease Home

Dwayna Litz was with friend Olga Statz last night as she shared her testimony and sang on the Upper East Side Christian “Heartease Home” for battered women in NYC. The women cried as they listened to Dwayna’s testimony and song “Honest Life,” and God was there with His Spirit of unconditional love—where any fake, abusive “love” fails by far and is defeated. Dwayna Litz says she could never do anything more important or rewarding than pointing people to the greatest Love of all.

Dwayna Litz and Amy Grant

I got to meet one of my favorite songwriters on earth, Amy Grant, when she was in NYC recently. I shared with her the nice story about when I was 19 and rehearsing with my band next to Vince Gill in Nashville at SIR rehearsal rooms. He was nice enough to come over and take the time to listen, and he told me to “Never give up.” He said, “You are good.” I never forgot that. It was so nice of him. They make a good couple, because Amy Grant was so nice to me that night when we met that she made me cry, a beautiful person inside and out.
