I wanted to share this meaningful and touching comment from a listener in NYC who heard my rendition of “Take Me Home Country Roads” for the first time: “I’ve heard this song many times but this is the first time the words spoke to me. Your rendition is beautiful. You have to keep doing this. Period. It is really lovely and from the heart.”
I wrote her back to let her know that no comment could mean more to me from anyone. (I had expressed to her previously that I felt like this would be my last CD, and I would move on to other artistic endeavors like acting or writing another book.) I can’t stop doing music, though, because it is so much a part of who I am. I can’t wait to finish this beautiful bluegrass CD, the music of my roots, and hope to a major label involved for distribution and radio play.
