I took a break from writing, and I hiked almost twelve miles yesterday in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I went to the highest peak of Mt. LeConte, over 6600 feet up (6 miles up). It was an amazing view and exhilarating workout. I hiked with a really nice guy from NY and a hiking club of about 60 people from Houston. It is no wonder that the autumn is the most popular season in the Smokies. The views are breathtaking. Makes me proud to say I am from Tennessee with these mountains as my home. I am enjoying working on music again in Nashville. God’s creation filled up my heart yesterday in beautiful Tennessee. I think I’ll keep it. NYC fails in comparison…
